The ATP@KIT develops ultra-fast read-out electronics, sensors, and data acquisition systems to detect ultra-fast signals at high repetition rates (KALYPSO and KAPTURE families) at particle accelerators, lasers and in photon science. KIT systems are already installed at national and international accelerators. High performance and AI computing with reinforcement learning algorithms on hardware are employed to handle vast amounts of sensor network data and enable fast feedback paving the way to autonomous accelerators.
