Karlsruhe Research Accelerator KARA

The Karlsruhe Research Accelerator KARA comprises an electron storage ring operating in the energy range from 0.5 to 2.5 GeV and a 50 to 500 MeV booster synchrotron. It is used to develop accelerator technologies of tomorrow: from accelerator components to the complete system. KARA tests innovative accelerator technologies from ultrafast diagnostics to new operation schemes and novel methods for beam control.
